Sixty years ago our master jeweler began apprenticing “jewelry making” at the age of ten.  His parents had requested he learn a trade as they didn’t believe education was enough to get by in life.

At the age of twenty-one, he came to the United States to attend college despite his parents’ wishes. He graduated with masters in industrial engineering, from the University of New Haven. While practicing engineering he continued making jewelry and applied some of his engineering skills to his craft.

He started his wholesale jewelry business servicing local jewelers and antique shops, in the New Haven County area of Connecticut, by doing their customer’s jewelry repairs and custom made jewelry.  In 1978 he decided to open Arpie Krisie Gems and Jewelry a retail store in Orange Connecticut and two years later, opened a second store in downtown New Haven. 1997 brought Arpie Krisie Gems and Jewelry from New Haven and Orange to Milford Connecticut in, what was then called, the Westfield Shopping Mall.

Arpie Krisie Gems and Jewelry has been in business for more than four decades and is presently located in Orange Connecticut where it has been since 2003; and looking forward to celebrating our 45th anniversary doing business in the county of New Haven.

Our jewelry is designed and made in Platinum, 14K and 18K yellow, white, rose Gold and/or Sterling Silver.  All the gemstones used in our jewelry are natural and of very good to superior quality.

The business and reputation we take pleasure in today, was built on word of mouth referrals from our many loyal customers, whose confidence and trust in us, have come to value our jewelry as an expression of their love to those that are dear to them.  We treasure the role we have played in their lives.
